is doran's shield realy worth it?

All of the doran items give 80 hp so does doran's shield I think which is kinda bad. Cuz this is a bit tankiesh item, hp gotta be a bit more than that. Doran's shield has passive hp regen, 72 hp / minute and it blocks 8 dmg from single target spells and abilities. So these other two stats of dorans shield, Are they really worth it? If so, please tell me when to buy dorans shield and when you should go for ruby crystal (150 hp) + 2 pots OR corruption pot.

IMO it isn't. I'd rather go corrupting pot because I get mana back with it and don't need to sink money into potions later.

It's good before you back, so get it only if you playing 1v1 mid in a custom game. If you are vs adc, cloth + potions is better.

very good on rammus and amumu, passive stacks with their resists.

Bad on everything else.
