Cheerleaders Check In!

I am a support main, and I view my job as keeping my ADC safe and making sure they get fed. That being said, my job doesn't end there. I do all I can to keep the team together when things start going south. I try to give moral support in chat, and let the team know we can still win. Granted, a lot of the time it doesn't work since people who make up their mind to give up are really hard to get through to. However, many games have been won from behind, and it is possible to turn a game around if you work together. That's where I try to fit in. I will cheer on teammates when they are doing well, and give them a boost when they are making mistakes. I try to watch the map and give as much info to my team as possible so they don't make unnecessary mistakes. I will keep trying to get everyone to work together until the last tower has fallen and our Nexus has been destroyed. Even then, I stay after the match and try to have a conversation with the team to discuss what we did wrong and where we could have improved.

This may be lost on the majority of players, and it may feel like it's not making a difference, but just think about how you feel when someone compliments you in chat, and lets you know you are doing well. It feels amazing to be recognized for doing a good job, and makes you want to keep doing well, or do even better. All it takes is a "good farm, man," or maybe, "nice play there!" and you will make someone's game so much more enjoyable. Remember, games are lost first in the mind.

I hope there are more players who feel the same out there, people who want to raise their team up instead of tearing them down. If you are one of those players, I want to say, you are what make this game worth playing. And thank you.
