Riot why don't we have a Loss Prevention System correctly?

Rank can give you mixed emotions and the fact that a team mate D.c's for 5 mins then comes back isn't fair. During those 5 mins a lot can happen and you can end up behind as well. People in rank usually don't ever listen to what you tell them, they like doing things their own ways and well I feel like if the enemy is beating us when we have a D.C they should receive half of the LP gain while we get a Loss Prevention.

Doesn't that sound fair? doesn't anyone hate having someone who AFK's or D.C's for a long period of time to a point where the tides change and the enemy fights back harder cuz they can end "late game" while your team could've ended "Early game " ? :/

Also if you think about it even tho the D.Cer is back it doesn't change or help anything, that person has to farm their way up to your team mate's level in order to group fight or they will instantly die.

As far as Loss Prevention goes... the current rational for the lack of a Loss Prevention is to prevent abuse. If you've got a game going badly, the concern is that people will just either afk themselves, or bully other people into afking so that they can avoid a loss. Which I can honestly see happening.

As for people D/C'ing then coming back... the other day I was in a game where both my jungler and my toplaner disconnected right as the game started. They were gone for a good long while, allowing the top laning Riven to free farm. Thanks to a dedicated Ahri in mid, Morgana support and myself on Jinx we managed to hold out long enough for us to actually win the game. Just because a game is -hard- doesn't make it -hopeless-.

This can be abused because someone can purposely d/c on a smurf to prevent a friend from losing lp. Yeah it's lame that sometimes you lose lp and mmr due to leavers, but that's just one of the problems with a team game and I don't think it will be changed. Riot does what they can to prevent leavers, such as the leaver buster system which was recently improved. Aside from the issues that your idea has such as trying to punish cheaters and players not losing lp/mmr, it would also likely increase the amount of leavers. Riot does what they can to minimize leavers and punish them, but it will always be an existing problem.

Nope. If you were losing the game when the player disconnected, you deserve the full loss and they deserve the full win.

Added bonus - if convincing a teammate to disconnect would result in you getting Loss Prevented, there is now an incentive to rage.
