ARAM needs some serious love

Encountering a vast amount of abuse in rift over the past 2 years pushed me to either not play or play ARAM and it was good for a while. The more I play ARAM, however, the more I'm encountering matches where it is completely lopsided. I understand the concept of champ selection being random but all too often one team ends up with ridiculous composition and steamrolls from the start. There is utterly nothing I or my team can do in these matches to change that outcome because it is so unbalanced. You balance champs for rift because that it what "everyone" plays and makes a big deal about but in the process you break ARAM. There is no laning in ARAM. There are so many stuns, silences, knockups, knockbacks, tosses... and you have the whole team in your face all the time. It's not like you can pick them apart and deal with them in separate lanes. If you get stuck on a melee-heavy team against tons of ranged, you get eaten alive. If you have no tanks and the other team has mostly tanks, you can never build enough damage to kill them.

The other issue with ARAM compounded by champion inbalance is player skill imbalance. Many of the teams I've had that were good on champ composition fell apart because we got stuck with terrible players at those particular champs. I'll have a champ I'm good at and I suffer for 20+ minutes because I can't compensate for the rest of my team playing badly and, on top of that, they won't surrender and the opposing team won't finish. They bait us out, I stay back, but my teammates run out and get slaughtered. What part of that is fun? How am I supposed to react to that? There is nothing I can do to help my team, they won't give up and the enemy team is having too much fun feeding on them.

I honestly don't know how you'd balance it while keeping it random but after you added those stupid snowballs it was like you made the problem worse. A slow, tanky team could at least be avoided by staying behind turrets but now they just throw a snowball and appear right in the middle of everyone while the rest of their team rushes in and wipe you.

It's gotten to the point where I'm wanting to go back to playing rift because at least through team builder I can pick my champ and position and get a decent shot at having a competitive matchup. ARAM was my refuge for a long time but now it's a source of endless frustration. This will probably snowball into massive hate against me but I don't know how else to voice this. I don't play ranked, I'm not good at this game but I was still able to have fun. Even that is falling apart now.
