Riot still can't figure out matchmaking for the good, but not professional, players stuck in hell.
To constantly carry yourself and avoid losing streaks, you gotta carry every game. Go 10-0 (example) and wreck the enemy in fights, carrying your team to victory.
So, let's say you did that in Bronze.
You reach Silver 1, and now you can't do that anymore. You can't go 10-0 at 20 minutes every game anymore.
However, you are STILL winning your lane every game. You're going 3-2 or 3-1 (example), you're getting more CS, and taking your opponents tower. Every single game, you're still winning your lane, and getting the gold advantage for your team. But you're not 10-0 and not able to solo carry everyone.
This means, that now this player will be stuck in Silver 1 forever until they get so good that they can 10-0 again? How is this fair?
Logically, if I am still winning my lanes in 99% of the matches I am in, I SHOULD BE CLIMBING. I shouldn't have to carry every damn game. But, since Riot artificially keeps everyone at 50% W/L ratio, and you can't carry 10-0 anymore... you're now stuck in Elo Hell forever.
This is what people are complaining about. They know they are better than most of the players in their games.. but they aren't 10-0 better. And they shouldn't have to be. As long as I am still winning my lane and being one of the strongest players on either team, I should still be climbing in ELO.
But Riot's system has left these players, like me, in the dust. We're forever stuck unless we become pro players. Which is honestly not fair at all. Okay, so I can't carry by myself in Gold. But I am still winning my lane and being a super strong teammate. I should be able to join Gold games.
