Locking in Stupidity

Why does the new Draft Pick require you to lock in? Worst of all, if you forget to lock in, the system bans you for 6 minutes and takes away 3 LP.

I've forgotten to lock in 5-10 times in ranked now since the new rule. Even after selecting a champion.

I clicked on a champ and want that champ. Why must click I lock in? What good is this doing RIOT?

Is there some statistic that says that players that don't click LOCK IN are more likely to disconnect?

I don't know, man. I made a thread about exactly this and got downvoted to oblivion. But I still see it happen every single day, without fail. It's making queue times ridiculously long, and losing LP because you forgot to press a button is kind of silly (to put it lightly).

(Edit: My upvote for you got erased. I wish people would actually post.)

If your not paying attention enough to que to not lock in your champion right away you shouldnt be playing anyways. You should have your full attention on league when playing.

Threads like this only makes it obvious Trump will be president. If you can't wait half a second to click Lock in Immediately after you choose a champ. You're far too impatient.

Is it really that hard for you to click lock in? Are you handicapped? You can't click lock in for 1 second but you can open a tab, login into forums, choose which board to write on, make a title and complain about how stupid it is to lock in. LOL.

It's obnoxious because just clicking it and having it auto lock in is how draft pick worked SINCE THE GAME STARTED.

You know what this does? When people eventually figure it out and stop derping out of champ select, it makes champ select faster. If people wait until it times out, that's a lot of time. By forcing lock ins, it makes you click sooner, until you have the habit of clicking as soon as you pick your champ.

It's a giant time save, assuming no one in your game is thick, like you apparently are.
