Avoid as Teammate

On multiple occasions has me and my friends had a complete and abusive troll on our team, game ends and we all report them. We then queue up for a game and get the same dude on our team again. This forces one of us to dodge the queue, putting the short term damage on us, not the troll.

Overwatch has this function, do they own a patent or something? why hasn't this appeared on League yet?

Well, you need to consider how the Overwatch one actually works and its previous failings.

Originally when it was implemented it was grossly abused to the point that a specific player couldn't find a match because he was too good. He was the best Widowmaker if I recall correctly. So people avoided not because he was a troll but skilled. So they scrapped it.

Not sure how recent, they implemented a temp version of this. Now the avoidance only lasts a week or two. I am unsure how the queue times are for higher elo ranked on OW with this system. Yes, you have to look specifically at high elo because the player pool is small enough that one could manipulate match ups to an extent.

I think it'd be great for norms. In ranked... you get what you get and you don't throw a fit.

No offense OP, but when you're getting this happen multiple times. Why not just fill up with a full 5-man premade?

As for the situation that you described, don't immediately Q after your game finishes. Give it 5-10 minutes. It'd be nice to avoid trolls/toxic/tilted players with this feature in the low level elo where there is no lack of players. But in higher elo's, it'd probably get misused.
