Does Nautilus counter Darius in lane?

I recently played a game as Nautilus and went against Darius in the top lane. At first I thought that Darius would destroy me, but it went better than I thought. I maxed out w first rather than e which tuned out to be wise choice. Whenever he came in to harass me with with Decimate, I would activate my W, soaking up all the damage with the overheal... The bleed would usually take away only 30 hp at early levels which I simply recovered with Grasp of the Undying. If he tried to "all in on me," I would activate w turn around and stun him with my passive, use my e and then use my q to hook myself to safety.

Enemy jungler couldn't gank me much, as Darius was always pushed up near my turret (don't think he could control lane, whenever he tried to poke with Decimate, it would chunk down my minions... Causing his minions to kill mine). My jungler, Volibear could just walk in and table flip him to me, he would either burn his flash or die.

I ended up winning the lane with the help of Volibear.

That's all I have to say :P Do you guys agree that Nautilus could possibly be a counter to Darius? Or was it because Darius simply did not know what he was doing?
