What are the benefits of building two Infinity Edges?

So I just finished watching TSM vs C9 (don't worry, there are no spoilers in here :P) and noticed that C9 Balls had built two IEs... Can anyone explain why he did this? He built two on Gangplank and wasn't sure why he did it. Is it because there are only a few viable damage and crit items for GP? I know it's normal to build one on GP, but was confused when he bought two. Last time I checked, the bonus crit damage was a unique passive?

If anyone knows please explain it to me! Thanks

I guess they did it for ease of build (i didnt watch it)

They couldove built item 3508 which has the same stats + cdr

Im just thinking that because it was easier to go buy a pickaxe over a item 3133

There are only 2 items that give both AD and crit.

They've pretty much covered it here. He wanted the stats for maximum single barrel damage. His build was designed solely for that. He didn't get a sheen item because he has triforce for a bit of AS, and didn't want more. His job is long ranged nuclear barrels. And that's simply the best way to do it.
