those same people who say "too much damage creep"

are not wrong considering you can just look at the runes right now, but saying this is the worst state of LoL because of damage creep is a bit too, uneducated.

Remember Season 6? Devourer Yi and etc.? Those really showed the true power of damage. I'm talking about unkillable poppy and tanks with damage. The game had worse states with even more easily observable problems, the only reason people didnt freak out by that time (IMO) is because League also pulled a CertainlyT and brought back either OG features, made good changes to certain champions, and A .Sol.

So what's bad about now? The only thing that had a negative effect worse than most in 2016 was the change to towers (no laz0r and squishier towers with weird HP decisions, like inhib having more hp than the inhib tower). NOTHING I have seen during 2016-2018 was so broken that it was equivalent to Devourer Rageblade.

rageblade on its own was pretty gross back then imo, since it could stack with a Tiamat (or its Upgrades) or Runaan's Hurricane. That AOE damage was foul, and Devourer added insult to injury.

Season 3 Black Cleaver and Launch Feral Flare are the only things I can think of off the top of my head that were that disgusting.

As a jungler im glad Devourer is gone. It incentivized (riot ffs that's a word) a playstyle that either

A: came out of the jungle and 1v5d

or

B: lost them the game because the other jungler was a ganker and made every lane win hard before 15min.

Marksmen are too tanky relative to their damage output, in much the same way that tanks were too tanky relative to their damage output. But, the catch is that Marksmen are tanky because of support items, not because of something in their kit or even in the items they purchase. A sane person would nerf support items, but what will probably happen is that Marksmen damage output will need to be reduced more or less by 25%.
