Zhonyas and Champion ability interactions

I made a post similar to this one a while back about Swain. Now it's about all champions and their interactions with Zhonyas. Before I get started, for the record I realize not many people have problems with this.

Ok so most champions that have a toggle/self targeted aoe spell, can activate Zhonyas while using the spell. Example, Swains ultimate, fidds ult, Kennan ult, etc. There have been too many times in a match where we completely lose because of this one interaction. Not only is the enemy invunerable for 2 seconds, but they are dealing a large amount of damage and sometimes even gaining ridiculous amounts of health back, aka Swain ult and anyone with WOTA. In a teamfight this champion can flash in and completely win the fight for his team simply because nothing can be done to him once he activates Zhonyas. Most people might say, "Just flash, walk, or dash out of it", but in a teamfight this is easier said than done. Personally I think it'd be better if these interactions were nerfed as there really isn't any counter play to it aside from getting out of range.
