Yi. Too simple. Why Riot?

So just got out of a game where the enemy MasterYi went top lane. Nothing special. Hands down I can see why yi is usually in the jungle, because I downright butchered this man. Only downside was that our Irelia got pretty fed very fast so I wasn't the center of attention. Fast forward to late game and we're still killing yi. That is until he builds one more item and suddenly we're butter under a 1000 degree knife. There is undoubtedly so much damage in this season. So I'm not surprised by the occasional one shot from a talon or zed. ButMasterYi is a different story. I can not begin to count the mistakes he made in lane and in team fights that should have cost him the game entirely. But just because he builds his items, still making those same mistakes, we can't kill him? Yes, we CC him. Remember that Irelia? Stunned and ulted him. But surprisingly, yi can just alpha right through the duration of her ult. It honestly had no effect effect on him. Build armor? With the amount of true damage currently in the game, armor should just be considered tissue paper at this point, but I did. Melted as a result. Seriously, I have no problem with a simple champion that is easy for beginners to use. But how simple is too simple? If all it takes is just to build straight attack speed items and pick items and runes that give you true damage with every aa or crit, I think it needs to be looked at. If it only takes 10 minutes for a champion to accumulate double the damage of that of a champion who was popping off the entirety of the game. I think it needs to be looked at.

I agree with you but get ready for the downvotes people hate making champions not simple and balanced/healthy.

Yi is the perfect storm of synergistic BS

His problem isn't that he is simple, his problem is that he is countered by simplicity, which is rapidly being removed from reworks.
