Actually your attitude makes me think you are the one who needs to "get a life".
League of Legends is a video game, no more, no less. Sure there are a small community (of less than 400 players) who are good enough to have a serious shot at the pro ranks. For them, playing and winning has meaning beyond just being able to claim "I'm a Gold I in season 5 of League". And the truth is that even for them being Diamond I or Master/Challenger doesn't mean as much as you think. I bet that they could walk down just about any street in the US and never once have someone ask for their autograph or picture unless they were near a ongoing convention or LOL event of some kind.
In fact, how about tomorrow morning you go to your local Starbucks and brag to the barista that you are a "X rank player in League of Legends." I'll bet that they'll tell you that you still have to pay $5.00+ for a lousy cup of coffee.
Sorry, but your rant is extremely childish. Yes, League is "just a game." But people saying that aren't necessarily playing to lose. What they are doing is recognizing that once the game is over there is nothing to do about a loss and that it is far better to move on to the next game rather that obsess as you are doing.
Sorry, but you are in the wrong here.
