The zac ult they just reverted back from made me feel like I had more control over where I was going to position enemies. Sure, if you missed it the first time you didn't get extra chances to knock people up as you do with this one, but I felt like my combo was more effective in bringing enemies back towards my team for the kill.

Nobody hated Zac's rework ult. Not even the Zac players. It's just not an ult meant for Zac. Nor is his Q, frankly. Both abilities make Zac stop moving, which was entirely opposite the point of his original kit where you literally never stopping moving around while you fought, so you could fight while going for bloblets if you were good enough. Also, both moves essentially forced Zac to become a tank, and contrary to popular belief, he was not a tank pre-work, he was an AP bruiser. And again, Zac was built around causing chaos, where the reworked ult was a very ordered, controlled move.
I for one would love to see them give Zac his old Q back and base a brand new champion around the reworked Q and R. I liked the reworked R. It was a cool button. It just wasn't a Zac button. And I love original Zac far more than new Zac.

I could actually see his reworked ult be working as a basic ability with much shorter jump range.

The reverted ult is a backline DISRUPTION tool while the new ult was a backline ABDUCTION tool
