Deathfire touch damage?

I am a bit confused on how this mastery works exactly Ok i understand that using a single tartget spell within 4 second refresh the duration but doesn't stack But the duration is in seconds or stacks??

Let's say i am Ryze and i use very quickly wq that are both single target spells How many ticks of DT do i get? W should give 4,one every 0.5s but the first come together with the W or after 0.5s?? in the second case if i use Q within 0.5s i don't get any bons damage from W? Or there is a minimum guarateed damage for each used spell?

Just think of it like a switch. Is DFT on? If yes, apply damage every tick. If not, don't. If you apply the "weak" form while the strong form is on, the strong form ticks will continue for the remainder of its duration, then the weak form ticks will finish its own duration. This means that yes, if you stack two spells for a total of < 4.5 seconds duration you won't get any more damage than a 4 second duration proc, but if you're > 4.5 you will. Can a red back me up on this?

It's a damage over time effect that is applied by your abilities.

Only one instance of deathfire touch can affect a champion at a time.

Using a new ability will refresh the duration.
