How Exactly Does Riots "Earned System" works?

So let me just start by saying I have no clue where to put this, so I put it in the gameplay section. I wasnt sure if it is a bug or not, so please no delete. Now on the the main topic, if Riot can please explain to me how the "Earned System" works and calculates all the letters so I can make sense of what happened today. As the pictures below clearly shows, I have the almost the exact same score as the person on my team, meanwhile the player gets a S and I get a A+. LB had 1 less death then me, while I had 2 more assist then her. Same CS/kills/turrent/inhibs. She had her gold was ahead by .1k and aside from that, I had the most damage on the team. It does not make sense to me how she was able to get an S and I was only rewarded a A+. Please explain! thanks in advance! 1st Pic 2nd Pic 3rd Pic

Well first, there's no picture. The answer is that every champion is weighted differently. Your mastery grade is granted based on other peoples stats on the same champion in your region.

So in this case, if the average for LB is 10/6/10 and she goes 12/3/14 (among other factors) then she'll likely get an S, where if the average for your champ is 14/2/20 and you go 12/4/16 then you'll probably get an A+.

1st picture, cs is too low, you had 199 in a 36minute game, you could easily break 300cs.

2nd and 3rd pic equally show nothing as most damage dealt just means you run in and die over and over.

the grading system takes many many many areas into account when grading, just because you have awesome KDA or damage doesn't mean you are an awesome player.

try checking your wardscore or your average cs for example. 2 very realistic and relevant areas which you can improve on for sure.
