Runes S7

I know this has been brought up, but it has been vaguely.

Will we finally see an overhaul of Runes this season? Or at least a more reasonable reduction in their obscene cost structure?

There are other ways to get us to spend IP than on game defining attributes. The rent is too damn high.

Sorta dredging up a slightly old post but screw it~, League of Legends Runes are in the same annoying sticky spot as itemization and masteries have been, exploitative measures just because of particular huge stat stacking without utterly huge downsides showing up for building say a pure damage rune kit or stacking enough runes to have 20% CDR right at level 1. One of my most recents i believe currently going on is the use of penetration/magic penetration runes, whether its one or the other or even the precision hybrid penetration runes which tends to emulate part of the snowballing gag that item 3142 turned marksmen into before 6.22's update that rehauled flat armor penetration into lethality, killing its highly abused early spike it brought to non-assassins to where they could win a lane once they had ghost blade to let them EZ mode rush in and blast a enemy target with also high attack speed burst and what would be ripping 1/4th to 1/3rd of the 'no armor stacked on item builds' that you would not find on ADCs in the early game (except 2 item pony Ezreal).

Never the less something as simple as 1.6 per mark on Lethality x9 times(14.4 lethality in total), .87 magic penetration x9 (7.83 magic pen in total) and the precision runes 1.13 Lethal and .62 Pen (10.17 and 5.58 respectively) can easily take up the 'standard Mark page for Damage stacking', which mages can still also use gylphs for M pen and also quins can be added to that mix.

I'm sure it was attempted for a full magic penetration or 'flat armor penetration' rune page setup with maybe filling up remainder slots with typical armor, magic resist or health. Would not be amazed if they were successful because the power it gave out made up for being squishie to where you could snowball yourself before your smaller armor and magic resist could pose a problem.

At the very least i would like Runes in general to be overhauled (just make everyone get their IP back from buying runes) and re make them to where they are cheaper in value and the gimmickie types of runes which are utterly useless or utterly power spikingly too strong (like having access to 'Lethality' or 'Magic Penetration Runes) and make them more standard especially for things like Health, Attack damage, Ability power, Armor, Magic Resist, Attack speed and so on, that way it would be easier for them to be adjusted so they work more of a small bump into making the champion a bit more better in a certain direction but not effectively shove them easily into EZ game mode because a particular rune setup makes them ridiculous. Oh and of course i you keep to those 4 rune setup thing, standardize each section to restrict the stat distribution i'd say.

1 Section for Damage, 1 section for Defense, 1 section for Utility and 1 section for Special stuff, would think it would be pretty simple that way.
