How to counter?

So I had a game yesterday that ended in utter failure. Maybe I chose the wrong character maybe I was just playing really poorly. I have no real answer to what went wrong. Anyway, the problem was Darius got ahead really early and their jungler (Lee Sin) capitalized on it by camping. I'm not going to say they were pricks for it... I just wonder if there was anything I could have done to counter this play. I was Rumble by the way. Fighting against Darius felt like smashing my face against the great wall of China...

Normally at this point you should be playing very far back and asking your team for help, but if this is solo queue, you'll probably get back this response when you ask: "muh farm". they may not say it in chat, but you'll know when they're saying it

So rushing an early zhonya would help a lot in this situation. You could also try roaming down mid for a kill and possibly a tower or maybe TP bot and get ahead that way.

After that it just comes down to playing safe and keeping your farming up till a team fight breaks out which is where rumble shines.

I'd recommend rushing Seeker's Armguard and Haunting Guise for a mix of durability and damage. After that, you could work towards Rylai's Crystal Scepter for the additional bulk.

Basically, you just want to try and survive that laning phase and be more useful in teamfights.

Yeah... Darius is really strong in lane, and Lee Sin is a great early game camper. You can't change those two facts no matter what you do.

Your game plan in a lane like that is don't feed. Let Darius push when possible, and try to keep the wave trimmed so it's small waves crashing against tower, and cs as best you can. I feel like when you're in a bad matchup, wave management is key. Make Lee dive you if he wants to gank. And ward.

If u can't get a lead in rumble vs Darius by lvl5, u best roam around lvl 6... I've played this match up too much and quite frankly once he hits 6 u are doomed. And if he had a jungler helping him u had no chance. Don't beat urself up over it, it wasn't u. That match up after lvl 6 is near impossible.
