Idea for GP Rework
Hey Riot and fellow board members:
Had an idea a few days back about GP and his rework. As a player who played GP (or as I lovingly call him, Planky.) to level 30, I love they guy. His lore, his attitude, his play style...
I know how you (yes you!) like Unique Ultimates, and while GP's is pretty awesome thematically, it's still underwhelming and Unimpressive as a "AOE slow and damage".
What to do? How do we keep the theme but improve the balance of such an R?
What to do... And that brought me to my idea!
Cannon Barrage:
Gangplank signals his Pirate ship, calling down a barrage of cannon balls the detonate over a 1000-800 length line with a click and drag targeting system, dealing X damage on hit. Gangplank can store 3-5 charges.
How cool does that sound? GP's R is now the meaning of pirate-y, as he watches his enemies flee from his coordinated barrages. These attacks are NOT DOT, so there is viable counter play (dodge-able) the rate at which the cannon-balls fall along the target area is also variable. Could be quick damage, or could be slow like King K Rool's falling cannonballs from DK Country (you know the one).
Think of the balancing, Morello!
The skill would be awesome to see, as it's not some silly global point click but a managed resource that could be stacked up for super awesome team-fight LCSBIGPLAYS or could be used to harass and push lane.
