I've backtracked on all my games to see if it's not just bias and it isn't: Irelia is dumb broke in low elo. Every game that I played with her, she always went "50-0". She always seems to be an incredible carry, no matter how bad she did in the laning phase. What exactly makes her this strong?
irelia is strong because she's a swiss army knife, she can do anything, not as well as an industrial knife or bottle opener or scissors or what have you, but she can do them all well enough. and the extra here is that she's military grade.
She can stack her innate off of minions.
Seems to me you are encountering smurfs, probably.
I rarely meet a good one but when i do its a either a onetrick or a smurf.
Triforce basically. Her Q procs it, and the thing having a whopping 200% base AD scaling for the sheen proc is pretty disgusting. Should be 150 or 175.
Irelia isn't strong, she has like a 46% win rate, one of the lowest in the game. The ones you see stomping low elo are probably smurfs or people just having good games.
Mobile, flexible kit that also deals high amounts of damage. Nearly impossible to kite if played right, which allows her to secure kills and push objectives on her own basically.
Why play a juggernaut when you can just play a diver like Irelia, Riven or Jax? All of the strengths with none of the weaknesses.
