1100+ true damage ult, oh and resets after a kill, so true damage ult for all! even at level 6 darius is 4 hit death machine. So let's think about this logically for a second. Take any melee class and have them battle darius, if you're in his face, as you need to be to land shots, he's hitting you too, so 3 of his hits then bam, ult...ontop of the bleed you're already sustaining, like how is that even remotely balanced? Did riot just simply not watch worlds last year when the pros were destroying top lane with darius? I don't get it, where's the nerfs?

I mean darius does have some huge counters (yes i am a filthy Darius main go the dunkmaster skin and all), pick ranged top laners vs him AKA: Teemo , Vladimir , Swain , Kennen , ect. Or just play some one who can out damage or do that same amout of damage as him AKA: Garen , Fiora , Pantheon , Fiora , Tryndamere , Fiora or Fiora and did i mention Fiora . Pick Fiora / and you have an ez time vs him, or just some one with good kite/range

Any competent Darius will shit on Garen easily. He can just sit on his spin and stack his passive to do massive amounts of damage.

yeah darius vs garen is one of the easier match ups. the only time garen can duel darius if darius takes too many turret shots or minion agro and garen flashes for an ult or somthing otherwise garen is one of few champions if not the only one that can beat garen in melee range because he outtdamages him by a lot. especially when noxian might is up. easy lane for me.

i meant darius not garen. the sentence before it was to say that darius is one of few champions that beats garen in melee range

Garen is weak right now, with a failing win rate that continues to fall. Wouldn't be surprised if he got a few small buffs to get him back on his feet to viability

The silence doesn't last long enough. Darius should be able to apprehend Garen when the silence is over and prolong the fight.

Darius's strength is prolonged fights, Garen's strength is burst and rest. Darius has the tools to prolong the fight while garen does not have the tools to escape Darius in an all in scenario since his Q is the only thing that gives him mobility while Darius has 2 slows and a displacement on one of the slows.

Also, Darius ult is always true damage whereas Garen's isn't.

Fiora is an easy matchup for Darius since he should be able to bully her early, slowing down her scale.

Garen is a laughably easy matchup for Darius.

Pantheon is a skill matchup.

Tryndamere gets shat on by a good darius since the 5 stack bleed is like an ignite that can kill him once his ult is done.

Teemo is annoying until level 6 since the dunk is much better in a duel than the shrooms.

Swain and kennen are good bullies.

Vladimir should be careful but is otherwise a decent bully against darius as well.

Fiora is pretty easy for darius early game. After 6 it goes a little sour for darius. As a darius player I struggle a lot vs riven and pantheon early. Riven can get dmg off and you can't follow up if she uses the right combo. Pantheons poke is retarded. I go cloth 4 in all of those matchups

Watch this year's LCS instead. He's not picked at all. The only time he was picked for a match was a Defeat.

Is that because of high ban rate or because top laners opting for other champs? I heard a commentator say pros don't even prcatice champs that are likely banned.

As long as trundle and irelia exist, Darius will never be picked in competitve play. He cant NOT push, so he will usually be camped. Trust me i have 120+ games with Darius, Hes actually really bad for the team..

Darius used to shit on irelia until triforce change and Irelia Q buff.

Now it's more of a skill matchup.

darius is easy to play around. he can't do much if his team his behind since hes melee. and hes not really a carry. if he gets going with his passive and resets well. its one of those things that you're like "that happened" its like a vel koz ulting your whole team and killing everyone its usually bad positioning. or bad target prioritization. as someone who plays darius a lot. especial lately. i can't do much when behind. i can't do much when ahead if my team isn't even at least. i can win lane most of the time. i'd say 4/5 times i can win lane as darius. but some other top laners end up providing more utility. i mean darius as a juggernaut. has a not bad utility. his pull is quite good against immobile ad carries. go in for a flash pull or something. you can bring the fight to you instead of chasing all the time. he has a slow. hes really good if you have someone tanky to go in with him and make sure he doesn't get focused down and insta deleted.

hes strong in lane. but not as strong as say. illaoi (yeah that bitch is really broken when it comes to lane bullyness and damage). his passive is strong but he he is pretty bad if hes behind. since not much utilty. hes just damage. and all of his damage comes when he gets resets unlike some people who you know hit one button to chunk 50% of your teams total health in under a second (tentacle hentai master pronstar illaoi).

darius is strong against idiots that let him stack his passive or fight him at the early levels. you don't know how many times i got kills and drawed flash at level 1-3 because someone decided its okay for me to trade autos with him and gets my passive going. people don't know how things work despite playing this game for a year or more. or somethings just ignore and not care about things. if darius doesn't get his passive or ult reset going hes the worst champion in the game most likely.

for example i had a jax a month ago. that gave darius first blood despite me telling him that he will get cheesed so careful. he still died. and kept on getting close to darius to the point where darius was turret diving him and dunking on him

the other day a malphite was letting darius stack his passive blinding when he was going for cs. and he had his passive and he wouldn't walk away or back when low health. he walks back into range for ult and dies and he acted so surprised and shocked as if why he was losing lane. i dont honestly know what to tell these people. i tell them " when darius has his passive on you and he has ulti and your low and hes ahead and u cant trade with him back off and dont let hi ult you"

their response " fuck off your being toxic am muting you"

you can say that any champion is unstoppable if fed.

never had a penta as darius but i've seen people get it. and i've gotten close myself. multiple quadras. how do they happen. well someone comes and focuses the squishies while am sitting there stacking passive on the closest target. dunk them when i get 5 stacks. and dunk the rest and win the team fight. if they focused me none of that would happen or at least kited me back wards.

i'd rather lane against darius over illaoi any day of the week. month year.

If anything I really wish riot would would simply get rid of his heal. The only reason he is not getting nerfs because there are other champs that over shadow him at the moment because they refuse to nerf many top rate champs for some reason...... It's the reason why the game is a balance mess.
