Hey guys. I just wanted to know if Quickcast/Smartcast is worth enabling. If so, why, and which champions benefit most from it? Under which circumstances is it best? Thanks.

Yes, it's worth it. Virtually all Champions benefit, under virtually all circumstances. If it's uncomfortable for you, or you simply want some visual aid, turn Range Indicators on.

It's an adjustment, but most people find quick casting very helpful (myself included). There are certain spells you may not want to quick cast, but they're largely champion/spell dependent (ie. Veigar's stun, Karthus' wall, since they're important to land on target and it's sort of hard to eyeball the ranges), but you can always adjust these settings in the menu at the start of the game.

The reason to do this is that it allows you to cast your spells much faster and much more accurately (in terms of timing your keystrokes, you're going to have to get used to aiming spells, since it's a bit harder especially if you don't know your champion's ranges/AoE diameters too well. In my experience it isn't too bad learning new champions, hovering over the skill bar will give you a good estimation of the skill's range). What I mean is, for example when I play Lux, to cast her EQR combo, without quick casting I would have to E + Click + Q + Click + R + Click + E. The combo takes a good deal longer to do accurately, or I might miss a click and accidentally cast a spell out of order or something. With quick casting, I just hit EQRE and hover my mouse over my target. So long as I hit the keys in the right order, I get my combo, without having to worry about clicking or mis-aiming skillshots due to clicking during the combo, etc. not to mention the combo happens much faster and it's harder for the enemy to react.

Also, I should add it's not only for doing combos. Think of it this way, without quick casting, each spell requires two actions, a key press and a mouse click. With smart casting, it just requires some aiming with the mouse and a key press. Once you get used to it, there's less room for error, even with single spells. It allows you to act faster in a game where seconds of time saved are so important.

All champions benefit from smart casting, especially if u have the hold down to see indicator option on

Hmm. I main Jungle, and I love heavy gankers like Nautilus. I hated using smartcast with him. Ganking without having it enabled was much easier. Do you guys think I should start smartcasting more? I haven't really been using it til now.

Like I said, turn on Range Indicators.

It's like adjusting to an unlocked camera. Yes, it seems hard. Yes, it's uncomfortable at first for some people. But, eventually, you're better off for it.

Please remove, this is just an option for people to button mash on champions that are powerful because they have to land tough skillshots. Also what does this do for champs like Udyr and Garen? Nothing? Please remove option to button mash champs in a skill game. Please dont let the button masher decide who wins and who loses.
