Seriously. if you play a tank, some early bruiser destroys you and youre underleveled. "Oh, tanks are for cc and teamfights." well, good luck with that when tank is being bullied under tower and under 50 cs, and 4 levels behind. get into a teamfight? You die because you only have a bami's cinder and ninja tabis since you're bullied 0/4 trying to cs, getting your hp chunked, while only trading a scratch of your opponents hp. "Oh, get help from your jungler, you have a lot of cc." meanwhile enemy riven ENEMY DOUBLE KILL! I really want tanks to be meta again, not this ff at 15 1 shotting meta.

You realize some of the highest winrate champions across all ELOs right now are tanks, right?

Rammus, Amumu, Blitzcrank, Nautilus, Sion, Yorick, Garen, Volibear, and Urgot are all insanely strong picks across the board. No, like seriously, here's some evidence if you don't believe me.

Yorick, Garen, and Volibear are all Juggernauts. They have weak CC in exchange for high DPS.

They're still immobile and tanky, lumping them into a category composed of other immobile and tanky champions isn't that much of a stretch.

But okay, if we're going to be technical, yeah, it's not right to include them. I could just replace them with Maokai, Nunu, and Taric, however.

My point still stands, tanks are fine.

Taric is a tank? really? is he played like a tank? So he goes in first engages and sucks up damage right? Also, please stop including support picks. Maokai is irrelevant, can't even remember last time he was a solid top pick for pro.

Tanks are useless in the top lane.

If you look at the top 10 champions on champion.gg for winrates not a single one of them is a tank (actually Maokai is there but he has less than a 1% play rate so we can't take that seriously). They're not good at all right now.

Unpopular fact: Whenever tanks were in top played champs, they were broken as fk.

So, you are saying riot are unable to balance more than one class to be top dog. I can agree with that.

Whenever assassins are top played champs they are also hated way worse than tanks tbh.

Here's top 10 champs in top lane http://prntscr.com/nts7x7....how many of them are tanks? One, and it's Tahm, and he's in the 10th place, and thats because his damage was buffed.

Ok, first of all the lowest elo you should check statistics is plat+. Any lower than that and champs are only viable/good because of enemies' stupidity and/or harder kit to execute.

Secondly, Garen is not a tank he is a juggernaut, yoric isn't a tank either. Urgot is also a juggernaut.

Last point, if tanks are in a good spot, why are they only picked as supports in pro?

P.S. Op is talking about top lane and tanks unviability in the position, which is undeniable if you check top players.

Almost half of those champs are not tanks Sion is trash as a tank now and none of the other tanks are viable top. Sion was gutted months ago I dont know why boards still think he is a strong tank. He does work full ad though.

I think op is talking about top, tanks are viable in sup and jungle but not even Nautilus is good toplane. Cho and Nautilus can be played top but unless the enemy are full ad you are better off building bruiser on Malph.
