The enemy taking Dragons feels really bad, because it's not something you can make up.

I understand the flaws with the old Dragon system. But the problem with the new one is... well, say the enemy has a wild Udyr who counterjungles my Amumu hard and takes two Infernal Drakes. I know, right then, that I'm never going to catch up. Even if our team would outscale, we're never going to get the chance to, because even if by some miracle a third Infernal Drake spawns, and we take it, we're still behind.

I mean... kills, towers, gold, all those things you can catch back up in. But Dragons? Nope, enjoy playing at a deficit for the rest of the game.

If the enemy team gets 3 Infernal Drakes, the game's over. It just feels overbearing for something that's supposed to be a bit of a side objective.

Exactly nothing beats the feeling of winning a team fight over a cloud drake, but later that game someone gets caught out right as an infernal spawns and then then no more infernal drakes spawn for the rest of the game.

You can catch up, the different objectives don't live in fully separated different worlds. If you get behind on Drakes, you can get more kills, more gold and out-itemize them. The only situation where this isn't true is when you all reach level 18 six-item builds, then the Drakes will make the difference and can't be compensated elsewhere, but that's the only exception. And even then, the game will more probably be decided by someone doing a mistake and getting caught out or failing an engage than by the Drakes...

If 3 Infernal Drakes feel overbearing, it's more probably because the enemy team is ahead and better than yours, which allowed them to get the Drakes in the first place. More probably then the Drakes effect alone.
