I'm just Curious what you think the best AP champion is to one trick?Lane/role doesn't matter. Somebody that when mastered and carry a game in one way or another. Just remember it is one tricking, so you will have to go into other lanes.

honestly, they are always strong. Ori has utility and aoe damage, also is balanced and has almost never been nerfed but is almost always in the meta. Ahri is both waveclear poke mage and a high mobility assassin, is imo broken but is protected from nerfs because of anime fapping fanbase, also is almost always playable to a decent success. So if you like utility go for Ori, if you like pure damage go for Ahri.

Noteworthy champions would be Azir, Cassiopeia and Ryze i think.

Super noob friendly, good in mid, support, jungle.
Good in top, mid, jungle, and he has multiple build paths.
Straight forward champ, you can be 0-10 and still be scary with your stun up. Good in top mid support.
Mobile, CC, top mid jungle, can hard carry, initiate, be a damage dealer, or a tank.
You can play him mid or support (yes support), just hitting people with your abilities, gets you AP. I once lost to an ap viegar support who could oneshot a full MR build volibear like nothing.

Out of those, Ryze, Vlad, and Swain are the most likely to be able to solo-carry a game when your team is losing, provided you don't fall behind.
Diana works too, if you're dedicated.

I like Vlad myself, but it seems that he has to be played as a quasi-glass cannon these days to be viable. As for solo carrying, those days are long past. (These days, you still need one or two other players on your team who know what the heck they are doing.)

Solo carrying is DEFINITELY possible, specifically as Vlad. Once Edge of Night is nerfed, that is.
If they don't have a front-line, a well-executed flank, even solo, can kill their entire team.
In this one-shot lethality meta, he's not that reliable though, hence why I'm waiting for the game to be put back in line to attempt to finish hitting diamond. Not because I don't think he's playable in this meta, but just because it will be faster, less work, and much less frustrating to climb lol.

Technically Kayle is not a mage but a fighter. Excellent and flexible choice though.
As for bot being not viable - that's debatable. North American players kàylè (Master tier) and Kamishake (Diamond Tier) have literally tried Kayle in all positions. As long you don't run the same sort of build while in support and play your role, then it's viable. (There's a Europe West specialist - forgot his name. Worth checking out his builds too.)

Super safe laning phase, God-like late game 1 vs 2/1 vs 3 capabilities allowing for massive come backs if you know what you're doing. Fits in all team comps. Tanky AND deals AOE damage with low cooldowns. Team-wide damage amp.
A Zed with 2 kills in 10 minutes means that their team is ahead. A Vlad with 2 kills in 10 minutes means its GG.

Technically, Ekko is an assassin. A flexible assassin who uses AP, but not a mage as such.

for example works well as a support, but can easily find her way to top and mid.
and Fiddlesticks can be played mid, jungle and even support.
and Brand 
are fine for mid and support.
is a neat one trick in that you can mid, support and "adc" with him. is fine for top and mid. (But requires a bit of work to get used to his mechanic.)
And where would we be without Anniebot's favourite: Annie ? As Anniebot has shown. you can literally play Annie as top, support, mid, and even jungle.Of course, there are others -- Karma, Leblanc, Ahri. It's a good time to play an one-trick mage. There's just so much flexibility.

None since they don't abuse lethality at the moment, and if you don't abuse lethality, your chances of winning are down by a bit.
