I found out something disturbing about Daisy

Yesterday, I was playing Thresh in a ranked game and the enemy jungler was Ivern.

After a failed gank at bot lane, I managed to q Daisy and my adc finished her off since she was low on life.

At this moment, I realized something: unlike Tibbers, Daisy does not drop a soul when killed (and before you ask, she still had like 10 sec to live and I also clearly saw her ''dying'' animation instead of ''see you later, Ivern'' animation).

Does this mean that Daisy doesn't have a soul? It's strange since Blue always drops a soul when he dies. Or perhaps, she gave her soul to Ivern or something?

Sejuani and Bristle only drop a single soul (Although Nunu and Willump drop two), I wouldn't look too far into it. Probably just a gameplay oversight as opposed to a story conspiracy.

I knew about Sej and her mount but I thought it was because of the joke that Midnight posted.

The opposite, actually. Nunu dropping 2 souls is an Easter egg. Similar to how skins with sunglasses take 1 less damage from Leona passive.

Always been an interesting conundrum, do synthetic sentient beings have souls? Annie's tibbers is supposedly an enslaved demon, but not much is known about Ivern's daisy. I'd guess daisy is a golem or other kind of mindless/slave construct.

My question is posed towards different possibilities, also so does orianna. Both of who are magically animated mechanical beings capable of speech, daisy appears to be animated stone that cannot talk; is speech, or the material the character is made of, the deciding factor to having a soul? Or is it something else? That's what I'm trying to get at with my question.

If that's that case (haven't read any of the recently changed lore), then why don't they (those in the institute) throw paper airplanes at eachother; instead of wasting the time and resources to fabricate dozens of these little guys to kamikaze?

Neither have I. This is old lore. Thresh was made back when the IoW was a thing.

Just to jump in, not true at all. If you look at his old lore, theres not even a hint of a mention of the League. The IoW was being phased out from the lore from roughly around Zyra's release. No champion since that time was made with the League's old universe in mind.

I remember now. I just couldn't figure what the abbreviation was. I remember they had some like, weekly Newspaper that had stories about the diplomatic and political circumstances between each o the states, and it made it feel like Runeterra was an actual place and that we could potentially be natives in this fantasy world. Then Riot said fuck our imagination.

And the minion design is based on the old Journal of Justice articles (now also phased out). I don't know if the new lore has addressed them yet. Or SR in general.

Ivern's lore says that he came across Daisy, a stone golem who was injured and near death. He healed her and they became lifelong friends. So not a mindless synthetic slave
