I know they are still working on their masteries, but right now it feels like there's too much damage into them and not enought tankyness and utility ones, dont get me wrong champions like tham and mundo say otherwise but they are pretty much the exception for tanks and are currently problematic. can we have some other masteries for utility and real tanks ? like say dmg reduction from crits ?

I think the bigger problems lie in Thunderlord for everyone and Windspeaker for Soraka. Both of those add too much utility to be healthy for the games. Assassins, Bruisers, and Mages do not need the Thunderlord buff as the extra burst is exactly what was wrong with Deathfire Grasp; The fact that anyone can easily get to it with relatively kit functional investments in the middle tree is a nuisance and there needs to be less universal masteries lwading up to it so that investing that deep in the tree will be left for those that actually need the burst, like supports. And Windspeaker, while good on healers and shielders like Sona, Orianna, Lulu, and Nami, is absolutely busted on Soraka. Not only has she become overpowered due to the nerfs to Grievous Wounds, but the added benefit of giving allies shields and amor/MR boosts when she massive heals them or herself is too much.

They've been problematic since they've been reworked, what now the 5th time? This most recent time has been one of the worst since it allows next to no flexibility. I don't mind the keystone ideas, it's just that they're widely biased for just a handful of champions, and almost useless on the rest; it inadvertently made the game more dull to play.

The problem is, they are not little add-ons that give a slight power/utility bonus. They are REALLY freaking strong, especially at low level. (Bard/Ahri thunderlords a 1st level as an example) It's going to make the whole year nothing but a tuning exercise for Riot. Every champion has to be buffed/nerfed for every attempt at mastery changes. Buff Warlords, any heavy crit champ (or item) needs a nerf. Nerf Windpseaker, then the support/shield champs need a buff.

It's a design headache. I am a little shocked they allowed it through in the pre-season.
