What's the difference between a marksman and an assassin?

The assassin needs about 1-2s and his whole kit in order to kill a target whilst a marksman can do the job just as fast but to multiple targets with a few autos. I would choose assassin meta over adc meta any day of my life. HECK, I'd even choose tank meta over this crap.

Every meta was an ADC meta.

All that changed was which classes were best at enabling/killing them.

Assassins are genrally snowbally champions who excel early game and most assassins are melee. While the Marksman role is to excel late game and fight safly in the back line.

Assassins are not supposed to be good early game they should be the strongest late game class same for mages

Says who you? I been around this game since early season one assassins are early mid game champions and have always been their burst doesn't match up agesnt tanks where as the marksman role has DPS something nearly every assassin doesn't have.

The fact that assassins and mages get their early game Nerfed is prof enough.

The difference is that Riot pretends one has more counterplay than the other

but Rengar still has the least counterplay...

rengar deletes one people

adc delete 5 people

of COURSE rengar is frustrating, but he is balanced. you can't do shit and get oneshoted and this should be addressed, but leblanc can delete someone, wait 5 sec and delete an other, adc just delete your entier team

rengar walks into bush... "Double Kill" walks back in "Triple Kill" etc and all of rengar's damage comes from his Q which is a basic attack. leblanc is impossible to catch and kill, zed is also impossible to catch, etc

rengar needs his hydra active to do it, it has 12 sec cd, he also needs 5 stacks. nice try mate but no. you also pointed out that he was in a bush, which is never NEVER the case in a fight

baron and dragon fights? hello? also, he doesn't need the hydra or 5 stacks to assassinate, only to one-shot. plus his ult gives him full stacks after he uses it. so he ults with his empowered q to destroy an adc, runs away to the bush, jumps out onto a squishy target, kills them as well, then jumps back into the bush with 5 stacks again to kill a third person, then chases down to finish cleaning up. granted, it's not every time that this happens, but it is completely plausible

Assassins' kits generally allow them a means by which to get into a team, kill, and get out safely, whereas marksmen tend to attack from a safe distance.
