I fight brain dead tanks all day long and everytime I just die and get cced before I have the ability to kill them or really trade with them at all if they have bone plating since my aas and Q reduced by a lot of damage for the first 3 hits.
It's easier to fight them when you respect what they can do, and respect the effort their players put in when playing, but you can get away without recognizing any of that.
That said, unless you see people who actively claim to main a champion around here it's honestly best to go to reddit, and look for a subreddit that matches what you're looking for.
bone plating has like a 40 second cooldown and lasts for 5 seconds.
just auto attack once, and wait until it runs out. then all in somewhere in the next 40 seconds.
The only tank you've lost a game to as Riven in your last 20 games was against a Maokai...a counter to Riven.
You need to specify what you're talking about beyond "all tanks vs riven" because your match history vs. your post tell 2 different stories
Maybe Riven just doesn't counter tanks? I don't play her, but that's my guess. She's always been more of a squishy killer anyway.

I just think that Riven is more if a niche pick. She's supposed to shine when she can stomp squishy targets. Much like how assassins are countered by tanks, but work great to stomp squishies with low mobility.
Riven is just one of those champions that's very risky to blind pick.
Maybe take TP and roam? Ward enemy jungle and try Invades. And forget altogether to kill your laner unless you get help.
