Riven - Not a Crying Thread

Just kidding,

Can´t I play a game without a main riven in it? Not just on the enemy team, even if a riven main in my team is 20/0, it just sucks the fun out of the game. More so if i´m top lane agaisnt her. I can´t farm, I can´t poke, I can´t trade, I can´t even farm under turret, since she can harass me there with a quick Q tiamat hit then shielding the whole turret shot. It´s just boring and frustrating. And not like Riven is a lane bully with a weak late game, right?

Go thunderlords with a champ who has any number of skills that out range her.

Seriously, Riven is probably weaker than she has ever been right now. I'm not a fan either, but eventually you need to stop crying about her and learn how to crush her face in. Garen, Jarvan, Hecarim, Pantheon, Renekton, the list is practically endless of champions who can beat her down super hard early game and never give her a chance to recover. In the state that Riven is in right now, if you lose to her, you deserve to lose to her.

If your complaint is that you see to many rivens in your game, then I'd suggest playing ranked or draft pick and everytime your first pick ban riven and if you are not first pick ask for the ban. This will cut down on the number of Riven you see in your game.

But riven isn't really that strong currently and is in probably one of the weakest spots riven has ever been in the history of LOL.

Riven isn't really that strong. I shit on that with Irelia, Mundo, Illaoi.(I'd say Garen but he shits on everyone). What I like to do is dance around close to her to bait out her 3 Qs, if she takes the bait and chases and even manages to catch you with her last Q, you can then engage her hard as her Q would be on cooldown. This is how I deal with her. Also, I've noticed that top lane melee fests snowball fast. If you manage to get a kill or two ahead(whether its Riven you killed or not) then its gg. You should be able to comfortably come out of the laning phase like 5-0 or something.

Guys, I´m not saying this because Riven is too strong or too weak, it´s just the annoyance (is this a word?) that she provides me. I know that she has counters and I do pretty well as Tryndamere, olaf and Garen agaisnt her. The problem is, I can´t always play those champs expecting a Riven, I wnan to play the Champions i want and i shouldn´t be forced to pick counters jsut because people enjoy button mashing on an anime bleach hair girl. It´s just that.:)
