So, I am not ryze main(I am assassin/zed main), but I started picking him up because nobody seems to play him. He has great sustain, cc, and has great spell vamp. I wonder why nobody plays him. Do you think he has a vital weakness and that is why he is not played?
Hildebrand1 votesRyze is always at least decent, I don't think there is a moment he was ever really bad, He doesn't know where to go between top or mid a lot of times is his only downfall.
The MYMU should be a big buff to him however, as more mage items will have mana instead of manaregen.
Phenyxs1 votesI am like you a zed player. I do mage champs as well and I do have ryze and he is viable. He is a sleeper in my opinion. I don't play him because he isn't my style of a champ as well as I can mage him or ad a champion against him and win lane. If I see a ryze pick, I go for zed, yas, or vel and run him out of lane. But if he is played well and gets his cs he is hard to beat.

Darfaller1 votesThey recent nerfed the hell-out-of-him with a nerf to his passive only allowing him to cast 5 spells in his passive rather than simply having it go on for a few seconds, b4 the nerf high elo players could dish out almost 10 or more spells in that time doing seriously large amounts of dmg but now they are restricted to those 5
