PSA: Damage dealt to Champions is a terrible indicator of how well you did in a game.

I do not care that you did 40k damage to champions that stat is virtually useless to me and the object of the game.

If you want to look at damage charts to back up your claim that you did well in a game, look at your "Total damage dealt" which takes into consideration minion damage, turret damage, inhibitor damage, baron damage, dragon damage, ect. Anything below 100k is a bad game.

Granted, if you did 50k damage you helped out somewhat, but if you did that same damage and died 12 times that is just bad.

I don't care that you killed champions 20 times if you just back at the end of a skirmish and do nothing objective-wise.

Damage to champions (if you werent laning against a tank, because that inflates your damage to champ stat w/ no real meaning behind it) is the best indicator (along w/ CC score) of your contribution in teamfights and skirmishes.

Damage to objectives shows how well you contributed to taking turrets and drag/rift/baron

And damage to turrets shows how well you contributed to taking down the enemy base.

These 3(4 w/ cc score) are the best indication of how much you contributed for your team in a game.

Total damage is pretty worthless.

well its not an indicator of anything but damage.

total damage in game is the same thing. not all roles/champs are going to have the same amount of total damage in game.
