I really need an assassin in my pool and I'm thinking of getting Leblanc. I love her global RR because of the jukes and fake ganks one can pull off as well as being able to pretend to use second cast of W. The mobility and cc is also nice, and as I said, I really need an assassin in my pool. But I also really like Viktor and I think it will be a long long time before I can afford either again. I love how fluid his kit feels, with the kiting potential from e, the mini Orianna ult and the Q lichbane proc with that tasty movement speed. So LoL community, who do I buy? I'm also kinda worried that Leblanc is gonna get gutted by Riot since the W nerf. Do you guys think this will happen?

P.S.

Champs I like to play include anivia, brand, ryze and azir. If you have any other recommendations and why, then please do tell. I have already tried Ahri, and although I love the kiting potential, I feel like her damage isn't enough for an assassin. Her damage is also not really AoE, besides Q to be a decent mage. I understand that she is as versatile as an assassin can get but I would prefer to have a assassin better for counter-picking since I can always just play a mage like anivia who is almost as versatile.

Viktor is better.

Leblanc is a "lane bully" but has been heavily nerfed. Her kit is also quite unintuitive to use and requires a fairly high mechanical floor. The reward is also not very high... she's built for 1 vs 1 and like all assassins will fall off HARD as the game goes on. Once people get tons of items, you have to keep making PERFECT plays to multi-kill and sometimes it can't be done. Very inconsistent and demanding.

Viktor is much better. You can go even or dominate most lane match ups. Your mid game is SUPER strong; you can push waves and Gank bot with Ghost and your Chaos Storm/Gravity Field. Your late game is always very high potential (if you are not focused, you can kill half their entire team by yourself). However, it does take time to learn how to aim his laser, best use his Ult and Gravity Field, and to manage mana in lane. Positioning is tricky but with good mechanics and experience you can calculate when to kite, poke, or go All-In and get off tons of damage.

They are both very team dependent though. If you want more of a late game hyper solo carry type champ (there's still team reliance but much much less) that's AP I'd recommend Vladimir.

However, Viktor has a much more dominant laning phase and his mid game is much stronger than Vlad.

Viktor for sure, His gravity field and aoe damage make him a much bigger threat in the teamfight phase, and overall he's a much safer pick.

If you want more assassin style mid, for AD Talon is awesome (i might be a bit biased b/c i've been spamming him lately), he kills squishies nice and easily and his E gives him great mobility around the map for roams, as far as AP with a more assassin playstyle Ahri is very good, she can play relatively safe w/ the range and movement speed on her Q, true damage on her Q makes her harder to itemize against, her ult gives her good mobility to work with, and if you hit a low MR target with charm theyre gonna die.

Leblanc doesn't play like an assassin anymore. She is more of a control mage now. If you are looking for an assassin. Seeing as you like LB because of her outplay potential. I advise you get Zed . As for the two, Viktor and Leblanc . I would get Viktor. He is a very strong and an oppressive mid laner with very few bad matchups. LeBlanc is also a solid champion to have in your champion pool tho and mastering her will allow you to master almost everything in the game. The problem with LeBlanc right now is her worst matchup is against Ahri who is very much in the meta for Solo Q and because of that, you can never really first pick her.

Leblanc is really bad right now. She got nerfed repeatedly and is already bad, just dont expect to carry with her, she is still decent i guess, but not suggested. Viktor is not an assassin, he is good, but also nothing too special here. And is also easily outclassed.

It is really obvious you dont understand the class system, not to be rude, just the truth. Ahri is probably the best mid laner and has been for a long time. She does a lot of damage with just 2 items, and her ult is aoe as is her fox fire. Her q also does true damage lol. You say ahri is weak, but azir and ryze are both garbage
