Is it possible for an Unban for permanently banned accounts?

Recently, one of my friends who I play with a lot received a permanent ban (Iquuy). He was a bit on the toxic side in his last game, and there's no denying it. I was wondering if it is ever possible for a player to be unbanned/given a second chance. I know that he is normally not very toxic at all. He is a very kind and bubbly individual.

He has just been having a hard time in life as of now (not going into too much detail), and when his support didn't play particularly well he struggled to cope and flamed him. He has received a temporary ban in the past for the same reasons. Making the same mistake twice, I firmly believe that he can and will reform and become more resilient to negative behaviour. I don't think he would ever be toxic again after receiving two bans and understanding the effect that his words have on others.

Things he has said and done really aren't as toxic some of what I have come across with people screaming their lungs off at the slightest provocation (e.g. too many pings, first blood being lost etc. etc.)

When he is toxic he really doesn't mean it, he does not wish for people to actually die. (Kys is actually a joke between us about kissing yourself). He does not actually want to open mid. Sometimes the language he uses is also a bit extreme. This is due to him not being a native English speaker! He is Danish and reasonably good at English, but subtleties such as the extremity of language that can only be picked up over time are hard for him to understand. This is made worse by the fact that nowadays streamers use lots of vulgar language such as %%%got and lots of swear words.

I know that it would mean the world to him for him to be unbanned. He truly loves this game, from the lore, to the art, to the champions (yes even the ugly ones) and the wonderful music. Would it be completely out of the question? I do not think it is fair that players like Jensen are able to be unbanned yet casual players are simply ignored and swept like dust under the carpet. I do not think it is fair that players like Tyler1 are even being considered repeatedly for an unban whereas casual players who are not as well known have to speak to deaf ears.

Edit: Jesus, will I honestly get down voted for asking a question? I love this community. This question was mainly directed at Riot, because there have been cases where permabanned accounts were unbanned, not just Jensen being unbanned from competitive, but occasional casual players' actual accounts being unbanned from permas. I was wondering if it was still possible. I know it definitely does not happen often. But I have yet to see an extremely recent case.

I know that he has been banned for being toxic :/ but because I talk to him often, I really believe he can reform which is why I even bothered to ask this, he is not a horrible person and does not rage often like many of you are assuming. God some people are so insensitive.

No accounts have been unbanned unless the bad ban is applied in error. The players you speak of received competitive bans and/or personal bans, both of which are different. The former means you are banned from competing in ANY account, and the latter means that ANY account you use for ANY reason will be banned.

Your friend lost one account, but if he starts a new account it will be a fresh slate. The ban account above apply even on other accounts. Those "above and beyond" bans are the ones that are sometimes lifted: no accounts are ever restored.

The answer is no. Only streamers and famous people get their accounts back. riot is basically just as corrupt as the next guy trying to play god. Riot is on it's decline and I am so grateful. >inb4 perma ban for this post

You see though, it's not just this one time, or this one time and one time before this.

Your friend wasn't banned because of a single game. Bans come down because of consistent vulgar and improper behavior unless one SERIOUSLY just tries to get removed via a single match. They're something you work towards whether you expect them or not.

And really, if you don't expect a punishment for flaming and cursing at others there's nothing we can do to help explain it better. A Ban isn't something special Riot holds onto for only the absolute shit tier worst players. It's the final punishment for toxic persons for whom the previous punishments held no sway over. The same game could garner a chat ban or a permaban, what it hinges on is how many punishments the account has already.

Permabans are Riot's way of telling the shit-heel players that they're through, that as a company they don't want to bother trying to teach manners anymore because it's something the players should already know.

My account just got permabanned a few days ago. Im not gonna deny it ive been really toxic and I have issues controlling my anger but I think i have a pretty good solution.

My idea is instead of permanently banning accounts that riot could just give permanent chat bans to accounts of players that are toxic sometimes. what do you guys think about this?

Reform was tried a long while back and with a re- ban rate in the high 90% range Riot gave up on trying to help those players. I guess he could make a new account but I don't see him having it long if he can't control his actions towards other players.

Well. I took a 1 year break and in that 1 year, my account got stolen and banned. Submitted a ticket and riot said it wouldn’t help.

please how can i get unbanned i just got perma ban but i know im toxic but not too much to get perma banned i picked lee sin in jungle and my team reported me bcs i was 4/6/5 and other games too my teamnates keep calling me trash, delete lol, kill urself hope ur family get cancer and i have ban now because i said anything back to them, but i never told someone to kill his family or get cancer, just last game i told riven KYS because she kept calling me trash and other things, then i had game where jinx and leona on bot started flaming me in a moment when i got first death they said im trolling and other things but it isnt true, so i sadi if they say one more word i will go trolling really, i gave one kill to zed and stoped but then they started´´ GO TROLL U FKING NOOB ,SHUT THE FK UP, I HATE U, ´´ and if i said only gj in chat they started flaming me like this. Then i got the message riot permabanned me and cut the chat from game how i was saying i will go troll and other things but the things my team told me werent even there, i cant understand how can i get banned only for responding to their messages, i muted my team in most games but then i unmuted them at the end of game and everyone reported me for not sepaking with team, but they were flaming, how can i get banned i never told these guys to get cancer or smthing and they keep saying it to me but they never get banned. PLEASE i CAN BE BEHAVE BETTER THAN THIS, i have spent so much money on this game and i never mentioned i will get permabanned please help me if u can i really can be better.

My friend was playing my account earlier today and I was just relaxing on a couch not watching what he was doing because hes played the game before. But after the game he had to go. Moments after he left the game banned me and I was confused on what happened. I logged out and logged back in and I got banned for toxic behaviour. I honestly dont deserve this. I put so much time into this game the whole summer and now it just ends up like this. I got a 14 day ban and i cant even do anything else. All i want to do is play league. That's all I do when I'm on my free time. I have a passion for it. I love playing ranked because I know I can get good at it. But how do I get better by not being able to play. So please if you guys can. Help me.

You lost me when you said that when he say kys that’s a joke about kissing yourself and saying his behaviour sound extreme because he don’t speak native English.

First what kind of 12 year old would believe in such naive crafted bs about the kys?

Second you are playing on an English speaking server. Does not matter what goes through your head it’s your responsibility to understand our language and to talk accordingly.

It’s clear by the things u said that not only he and you are toxic as fk but also that you think people are retarded enough to not deserve a proper apology and instead should receive this 12 year old crap.
