Redundant Silver Observations

I know this stuff is all over the place, forum posts, videos, etc. but after a few hundred games these are my observations.

I main jungle with ~50% WR. More often than not I have a positive KDA if not very positive. I can play many champs well. I can play any position while at LEAST not feeding and properly CSing. Ive been through blaming my team for losses then focusing on what I can do to help myself/my team. Did a lot better but only went so far and its no longer blame of my team rather than facts.

I realized that a year ago when I played nothing but Khazix. Id be 20/0/10 with over 200cs or what have you. You say Khazix late game is weak because he cant teamfight? Okay, let me get Ravenous so I can split, theyll never catch me anyway and all the team has to do is hold a lane for a minute and wait for the enemy team to react. Get picks, get objectives, get whatever. For the circumstances to even reach the point that I need a Ravenous means the team dropped the ball capitalizing on ganks.

-Map awareness. This is obvious. I feel like everyone should try jungle a few times. It forces you to pay attention to your map and the little portrait icons with your teammates health/mana. Among other things of course.

-Not warding. EVERY GAME theres at least one person I see with 2 stacks on their wards not dropping them. They get ganked and blame jg. Continues throughout the game.

-Control wards. Doesnt matter what position you play, buy a control ward for 75gp. If you dont want to "waste" the 75gp because the enemy will destroy it then place it in YOUR jungle early to get vision on enemy jg invading. This ward could potentially be here until the end of the game. POTENTIALLY.

-Pushing lanes. An all mid teamfight isnt doing your team any good when BOTH your sidelanes are pushed to your towers. Especially if you lose that teamfight.

-Late game CS. Read above. For some reason people just want to group as soon as the first tower falls and they COMPLETELY forget about CSing. The exception is a strong split pusher whos in lane all game.

-Pressure. Why is the team backing after baron when theyre at full health and cant afford to finish an item? Why is the team backing when we just killed two of their players and the rest of them are seen in their respective area of the map? Take a tower, push the lane, reset the lane, make them lose CS, take dragon, take herald, take baron, TAKE ANYTHING. Especially late game long death timers.

-Champ abilities. If you dont even have a vague idea of what all the champs in your current game are capable of, please read their abilities at your earliest convenience. It helps to play the champ at least once but not everybody has all the champs.

-Champ cooldowns/mana. Your teammate is out of mana/you saw him use all his abilities, you MAY not want to jump into a fight even though theyre alongside you. Then blame them because you died.

-Overstaying/rotating. You just took mid inhib after picking their adc? Now that adc has respawned and you should rotate to another lane or get out because the enemy team sure as hell knows where youre at.

-Chasing. By chase I mean half way across the map, across the river, etc. General rule of thumb, if youre not a champ with mobility dont chase. With mobility you may catch them and/or can at least TRY to escape when the rest of their team shows up because you chased so long.

-Triumph. As of the new rune system expect, at least, EVERY carry to have triumph. If they dont, okay. But when you see your teammate dueling a carry and think you can show up to get that finishing blow even though your teammate will die... TRIUMPH. That 15% can be huge. Now youre dead too.

Im not saying I should be challenger or anything crazy, shit I forget to smite baron sometimes and lose my team the game, it happens. I feel the average silver player doesnt understand at least 50% of the concepts above and thus hurt their team. Forget trying to give them advice because now youre toxic.

Of course many of these aspects can be situational but for the most part theyre standard, right? Am I missing something? Are any of the things I mentioned NOT advisable?

the splitpushing khazix thing sounds dumb as fuck tbh. How did you get to that point in the first place?

Are you missing something? hmmm.. i'd add knowing when a good time to gank is. Like, ganking into a full minion wave is a horrible idea, often ends in a 1 for 1 trade, and if they escape your laner loses exp/farm ect.
