Duo Queue Out of Bronze?

Looking to find out what kind of experience people have had with duo queue in ranked. % win increase, tank success when duo with jg, suppose/adc combo, etc.

I only solo queue and most of the duos I've played with are still bad as though they aren't communicating.

If myself and another good player duo will it match us to equally skilled duo or just whatever other duo just to fulfill the requirement?
