I've recently picked up Katarina, and while I haven't had a ton of success with her yet I think it's because I need to get better at her as a champion. What's been bothering me though is that I've been trying to use Phase Rush instead of the typical electrocute for a hit & run playstyle, but allies have been flaming me for not using the dominant rune of Electrocute. Is Electrocute too strong for its own good, or are my allies just brainwashed?
Electrocute isn't op, but it gives you a lot more burst to easily all in people earlygame with katarinas combos. Electrocute does 50 - 220 damage that also scales with your ap & ad! Essentially its another spell for free that makes burst from kat's qe dagger w dagger combo to have nearly unbeatable earlygame damage.
Another problem is kat isn't really know for hit & run, she all ins and electrocute suits that much more, if you wanna try phase rush assassins try talon who has more then enough damage to spare, though electrocute is still better.
With her Shunpo resets, you shouldn't need to use Phase Rush
in comparison to how the game should be balanced.... yes... in comparison to everything else in this game... no...
u mean yeah i would love to see it toned down a bit, AFTER they tone down about 50 others things. but you needs to do things in a certain order. like how ever class does too much damage.. but ADC are the most broken and need to be adressed before we can address assassins, burst mages/ divers, then top, then lastly... mages... which are in compison to mages season 3 and 4... VERY strong... but in comparison to other classes in season 6-8... are barely trying to pull their weight.
electrocute is held back early from his high cooldown. Other than that it is pretty good. The worse thing about electrocute is the tree it is in. That tree just isnt that good compared to basically all of the other trees.
Electrocute is simply the best option for her. That doesn't make it overpowered.
You should be flamed for using Phase Rush on a high mobility champion. It's used to make less mobile champions faster.
It's intended for mages and juggernauts. And I really hope no one was punished for flaming you, 'cause you're the one in the wrong for being ignorant on the matter.
Electrocute is not op, however why are you picking a assassin and playing them with a hit and run playstyle?
