I think you got hit because the very edge of the hit box of your champ’s model and the hit box of zoe’s E hit. So the game registered that zoe’s E hit you. But honestly I think that zoe’s E is pale compared to the famous broken hook of Roadhog from Overwatch.

I don't think the topic of discussion should be the hitbox. The hitbox is fine. It hit, evident due to the result. I think the problem with LoL is the representation of the hitboxes via the models, indicators or visual effects. Looking at you Illaoi tentacle slams.
