Did the Fizz suck? Yes Morde could still be strong after 5.18, but realistically Fizz should shit on Morde.

Morde COUNTERS assassins, especially those who have to get into melee range, only Mordekaisers who don't know their champ will lose lane against a fizz. Morde can harass the fish, survive his burst with his ultimate and generally turn into this brick wall he will never be able to kill come late game.

mordes passive makes him tanky enough to out "sustain" assassins, I love it when mordes have 10 health and keep stacking his passive

I once had a match top as Morde and the enemy thought he outsmarted me by picking Fizz and building him AD.

Morde w is especially potent vs melee assassins. He'll just hard shove fizz mid and if fizz ever tries to fight he'll take the insane burst damage from morde's w and probably do negative damage as morde's w heal is comparable to summoner 7 if he hits 1 champion + some other random target

I won lane against pre-rework Mordekaiser with Fizz before and honestly, it's not too hard.

The assassin meta has me dreading picking mid before the enemy. So, when such cases arise, I pick some extremely assassin resistant champ, like Malzahar, Mordekaiser, or the occasional Kayle.

Nothing more satisfying than obliterating these stupid "big plays" assassin mains (and their jungler, in Morde's case) when they try to dive me thinking they're so sophisticated and mechanical with these champs' kits.

Kinda hate assassins.
