so i main support mostly tanks till i need to switch to something with a shield or heal and my current champion pull is Braum TahmKench Thresh Blitzcrank tank wise and im thinking about adding Taric somewhere in there but i rarely see people playing taric and its what brought me here to ask is he worth picking up and playing? or should i just pick up Leona instead ? and why? if you dont mind explaining

Might be an unpopular opinion but I play shen support a lot may not be viable sometimes but it can work in the hands of a good shen player, just like tahm kench.

I heard maokai works well as a support but other than that, u have lost of the tank supports gotten down

Honestly speaking, between thresh and braum you have a stable pool thats capable of doing a lot. Braum, Leona, and Thresh is the holy trinity of tank supports though. They are rarely truly out of meta and with the exception of Braum+Jhin all marksmen work well with all three of them.

I would suggest, rather than leona, picking up Nautilus (Nautilus) though. Hes got a MUCH better team fight, is MUCH tankier due to his W, and has much higher early game damage because he was originally meant to be mid/top.

Taric has as much in common with leona as he does with Nami. He isnt a true tank support but a "warden" and "enchanter" hybrid

Hes worth picking up but dont expect to dominate and roll over your lane opponents the same way you can do as leona.

One thing to note tho he is a pretty good duelist mana permitting within the lane

Have you forgotten about the cow Alistar ?

Don't bother with Tahm. He's worthless garbage with a 45% win rate.
