[Petition] Ivern should not take damage while doing Scuttlecrab

Ivern's passive works very well for taking standard jungle camps, sacrificing a portion of health and mana comparable to if he were killing camps normally. However, with Scuttle, a monster that does no damage, he still loses HP and Mana.

Most junglers use Scuttle as a way to heal up before doing more camps, especially in the early game, but Ivern doesn't have this luxury. He loses HP as opposed to gaining some back, which is extremely unfair in my opinion and hurts his early clear a lot.

He sets them free. It's not about taking damage. It's about his sacrifice to the Rift's smugglers to get the animals out of the zoo. He's still gotta pay their fee.

It's because scuttle crab is a shy princess who runs away from everyone and Ivern loses hp from the heart wrenching story between the love of a tree and crab that can never be fulfilled until the very end when the villain is arrested and their parents make a 180 turn within 2 minutes, developing completely over one scene.

Uh why are we trying to balance a champ that nobody has even played yet?

I think it should take reduced health, say 1/3-1/4 but full mana. Due to him not having to give much attention if any while "killing" it. He can tag the scuttle then go to the enemies camps or simply gank then return for the gold. That's why it should take health and mana.

This champ is doomed to be OP, so no.

I agree that it doesn't make sense for him to lose health, but considering that he can just start the scuttle then walk away and get it later, I think he should still lose mana.

How does he even get scuttle to sit still long enough for his passive to work?

The champ isn't even out yet...

Since he can "insta" clear camps, I think it's fair?

[Petition] Scuttlecrab and sister should attack back for their life dealing 5% damage each auto with a 2.00 attack speed its only fair since they gets ruthlessly attacked each and every game

Meep Man9/22/2016, 1:28:59 AM2 votes

I think he should only lose mana really for Scuttle.

Can't Ivern steal buffs like in a matter of seconds? Does he really need help with his early clear?

Saianna9/21/2016, 8:03:22 PM1 votes

1 and 4 are the same?

Or do you mean 1 is something "he should gain half of mana/hp back", while 4th is "full portion"?

I concur [slayer-jinx-wink]

I think its early to be complaining about stuff like this especially given he can smite anytime for the instacamp once he spends his health cost. I mean this character creates bushes, can stun, and gives immobile juggernauts a blink if he lands a skillshot. He can be a good threat without needing to stand still doing camps, I think 1/5 of his health bar is a bit of a small cost to pay for a quick and/or easy camp. Maybe the health cost can be removed if he turns up weak on launch but he seems to be a very pathing and accuracy dependant character... we don't need another situation like Azir, Yasuo, Lucian ect where we overbuff a character that takes skill and they break the game.

Knalxz9/21/2016, 11:31:35 PM1 votes

I think the reason it should atleast cost something is because he can clear scuttle the fastest of any jungler with smite. Thought I understand the health reduction because otehr champions have to commit to scuttle Ivern can just take it with no effort.

Uhhh, this type of argument is completely ridiculous. Different champions have.....wait for it.....DIFFERENT KITS! Thats why Ivern has Ivern abilities and Jhin has Jhin abilities.
