Jungler complaints - Understanding the role
Hello everyone!
I am a JG main and have been for a long time. I have noticed that I get a general complaint while playing JG that I see happens to other Junglers as well when I am playing other lanes and our team is flaming them. This is my attempt to explain and help the rest of the community that doesn't play JG understand what it is we Junglers are thinking of, doing and planning while we are on your team.
The biggest complaints we hear is; "I NEED a gank in my lane! You haven't come to my lane yet!" or "Im losing lane because our JG isn't here"

First of all, it is NOT a Jungler's role or purpose to win "Your lane". If you are losing your lane because of some bad trades and start feeding your lane opponent or the enemy Jungler is ganking you, I am sorry but this is not your Jungler's fault. We are on the same team and we definitely want to help you but you need to try to hold your lane and not lose it.

A Jungler can not be all over the map at the same time. Map awareness is key to a successful Jungler and should be a priority for you as well. If you are pushing your lane into the enemy tower, and (for example) you are top lane but your Jungler is down BOT trying to help them... you should assume that the enemy Jungler is probably going to be coming TOP to gank you. In this example, there is no way that your Jungler can make it across the map to help you.

Asking for ganks. If you are pushed too far into the enemy tower, it is a huge waste of time for your Jungler to try to gank your lane. Especially for a Jungler, time is money. If we are sitting in a bush for 2 minutes, that is 2 minutes we could be farming... last thing we want is for our Jungler to get behind.

Know that your Junglers have a long list of objectives they need to do. Please don't flame your Jungler because they are coming to your lane when you ping. Here is a list of what Junglers needs to do and are thinking about during your matches; A) We need to farm. If we get behind it is very hard to gank someone who is 2 or more levels a head B) We need to have great map awareness and we watch our lanes to see who is pushed up and where we can potentially gank. This also helps us plan our JG path to make the most use of our time. Also, what lanes "can" we gank. If there is a Zed in mid lane, it can be very hard to gank him, but easy to gank the Teemo in top lane (for example) B) Objectives. 1st blood and 1st tower are a strong early game lead that we want to look to control. 1st blood is hard to predict because 1 bad trade can give that away so we look to be the 1st Jungler to gank to get that. Then we need to see tower health and see if we can push a lane with one of you to get that 1st tower or help defend our own to prevent the enemy from getting 1st tower. We also need to pay attention to Dragon and Barons, Looking for opportunities (Especially for important dragons) such as when we get a double kill in Bot lane or mid and we ping dragon to take it.
SUMMARY: I hope this helps those of you who don't play JG or don't play in higher ELO (Those players still understand the JG role even if they don't play it due to game experience and knowledge) understand everything we need to do as a Jungler and we simply can not make magic happen all the time. A good Jungler will help maintain control over a lane that is winning (Not always help a lane that is losing) focus on dragons and make good calls for pings when initiating dragon or barons, counter gank, counter jungle and apply pressure on the map when the is an opportunity to do so.
