Help me break my bad habits! :(

So as you progress through LoL and you start looking to improve yourself... you start to realise things you do that hold you back from becoming a better player.

I am TOO Aggressive! - Now this might be more then a bad habit. I feel like it's the way i prefer to play. So I have come to the conclusion that with this in mind, I seem to play or do better with Tanks. That became obvious when I realised that I can fix this bad habit by turning into an attribute that tanks look for? If i am making sense here? However... I also LOVE assassin type champions. So if I want to fix this or train myself to be more passive... what can I do? Does anyone have any suggestions that might help me?

Thanks

When you die, look at your positioning and how your map awareness was leading up to that death. League is about decision making. You make the decision to go aggressive or not, depends on the situation if that's good or not.

A decent good way if you want to practice when to go in or playing passive with the knowledge of the champion in mind, is to make a custom match with 5 intermediate bots on the other team and try to solo carry by yourself. The bots itself aren't smart or know how to end effectively, but they know how to group up on you which can also help you improve your reaction time when fighting them. But the main goal you probably want is aiming for an ace/penta while taking the least amount of damage possible you're capable of.

Just noting that this only a decent training method for bronze and silver at best.

Some champs are meant to be aggressive...Take Draven or Caitlyn, you play passive and farm, you're going nowhere. You need some form of lead and the only way to do so is to play aggresively. Take NuNu or Renekton top; if you sit down and just farm, you're a moron as you'll fall hard on your ass late game and so you need to dominate your lane by either A: getting fed or B: having a huge lead over your opposing laner as to make their climb in to the game dreadfully slow.

Being aggressive isn't an issue. The issue is whether or not you know how to be aggressive in lane. Team fights are different scenario all together and every champs role will be different. What ever role you main and what ever champ you main remember 1 thing; out there, there is a 1 trick pony who uses a social media to show off his "mad skillz." Watch them as they play and learn from them.
