Promo Helper actually harms you

The idea behind promo helper is good. The execution is not.

In previous seasons (or when entering a series without promo helper), your lp total after the series is calculated based on your W-L. Go 1-2 in a 3 game series? You lose 1 games' worth of LP. Go 0-3 in a 5 game series? Lose 3 games' worth. If you enter a series with promo helper, however, the free win is not calculated into this, causing you to lose more games worth of LP. I just failed a 3 game series with promo helper, and lost 34 lp because the free win didn't counterbalance a loss as it had in the past. This is the second time this has happened.

Basically, the point here is you want the win that you didn't get to count as a win that you wouldn't have gotten if this system wasn't in place. If you go 1-2 with promo helper, you would have went 0-2 without it. You're getting the exact same amount of LP in the end as if it wasn't in place. The only thing it's doing is helping you pass your series.

If you won your first game, you would still have been at 100LP and down 3 wins worth of LP anyways. The only way to save your LP a little bit is to LWL or LWLWL for Lose/Wins.

It works less like a free win, and more like a, you just don't have to play this game. If you lose 3 games, you are going to get 3 games of LP loss.
