Why can't we choose where our hp bar,map and items bar is at?

Serously I've always want to put my map on the left side of my game between my item bar and hp bar, why can't we do this? serously I hate having to look at the map in a different direction from where I'm looking. Yes I know you can switch the map to the left or right but why can't I just custmize it to where I would perfer it?
