Correction - the current ADC meta favors those who function as caster ADCs. If you cannot do the bulk of damage with just your skills and not autos - forget about the champ.

Not necessarily. Caitlyn is a pretty good pick right now. So is Lucian. You've just got to play them correctly and efficiently to win your lane (just like any other pick) Ashe is also a good pick for your team. Kalista is good if you can get ahead. Sivir is good. Twitch snowballs if he can get ahead as well. Jinx does good damage to objectives. And Vayne is ridiculously good if played by the right person.

Dude, it's the first time Varus can actually be played bot, give him some time before they nerf him into being a underplayed midlane AD caster.
