Aatrox proves to be NOTHING like his lore and legend state him to be. He is weak beyond compare. I saw a game when a Aatrox vs a Xin and the Xin had less atk damg compared to the Aatrox, yet would do way more damg and heal for more?! That doesn't seem right at all. No wonder you NEVER see him in LCS play and such. Garbage. Gutted and killed the master "god" of slaying. Sad..very sad.

should be able to one shot literally anyone at any point in the game with an auto because he has unlimited power

This is a gross misinterpretation of what the OP said.
For Aatrox the lore was specifically designed to represent his gameplay theme, fantasy, and identity and that is to dive into the enemy team and start dealing huge amounts of damage so that his newly "inspired" allies could go join him and finish everyone off. He is not a one-shot assassin, but he is certainly there to deal a substantial amount of damage for his allies to take advantage of and use in killing the enemy team.
Xerath is a mage of unfathomable power, so when he gets fed and reaches the point where the player can start living out their fantasy, two-shotting someone with spells is no longer some unfair gameplay mechanic, because the player had to work for that fantasy. Champions like these are meant to be powerful. Fair, obviously, but if a champion's lore is all about being this epic being of awesome power, then that's what needs to be delivered to the players, granted they possess the skills necessary to achieve that fantasy.
