He's going to attract the worst kind of players imo.

Why the fuck does he heal himself while walking through walls.

Like isnt being able to walk through walls enough for an ability? This shit is what is wrong with the new champs, like camille they literally get so many random shit tacked on their kits just to make sure they'll be god tier upon release, its stupid.

I find him extremely disappointing, to be honest. Kit seems... fine? Hard to say til I play him. The wall coasting seems like it might be a bit broken... but who can't ignore terrain these days?

I'm mostly just really let down by his aesthetic and character. Oh look... another brooding edgelord weeaboo champion. I'll bet he simmers with generic rage. I was really hoping to get something more "gothic horror" or the like out of a scythe-wielder possessed by a demon... ya know? Maybe someone from the shadow isles or even a champion from Noxus or even Demacia who had picked up the cursed weapon in a fit of power-lust and was now cursed and regretful. Instead he looks like some generic prettyboy anime hero from Bleach and I just can't get into it. It sucks.

Looks alright on paper.

I just fear that he will follow the similar problem plaguing many other duel for champions. (Namely, that only one form will actually be competitively viable.) That one form will be suboptimal than the other. This would be particularlly frustrating since he's going to be locked into one form for the rest of the game.

On the other hand, His two form are really just overlays on the same basic ability set. This actually sets a pretty good example on how thin the difference between and Assassin and a Diver can actually be.

Thematically speaking, I love it.

Exicted for: Scythe's are awesome - I played ton of Thanatos in smite. Super creative gank pathing - Always a plus Darkin - Lore implications

Worried about Never gonna get to pick him - Yasuo syndrome Terrible new junglers in my games stealing my role Death's Dance potentially has a huge effect here, On one hand it let's even Shadow form Have a bunch of sustain, combined with E-R the combination of Mobile slipperiness and Damage = Sustain is a situation where it can easily be out of hand Or be too weak to perform in order to allow "counterplay" OR It'll make Darkin form that already has beefy sustain Into a Physical Vladesque Drain tanking Nightmare that is pretty Binary, either A. Doing enough to leech people to death, or B. Grievous wounds has made me unable to be the frontline promised and my whole team suffers for it

It seems as though base for doesn't have any meaningful sustain in-kit Which is itself worrying for a Champ designed to Jungle. Also worrying is the use of the word "Need" regarding damaging enemy champs and transformation. If Transforming is gated behind having actually done a certain amount of damage to enemy champs Especially regarding the Melee Vs. Ranged Kayn/Rhaast might end up in a position where the player as Little agency to actually achieve their desired form. What do you do if the enemy team is like Kayle Ahri Cait Lulu Graves and you Want to be Rhaast in anticipation of Lulu and Kayle making assassination a supremely high hurdle? Or what about Yasuo-Eve-Riven-Braum Where a stubbornly defensive Tristana is your only hope

Essentially I'm concerned that the 'requirements' for Transforming will develop into extreme frustrating Play patterns. Though I do think his(their?) kit looks like a ton of potentially fun. Recently I've felt the sting of a Favorite champ being banned out of existence (Zac) And so I'm also a bit worried that player perception of Melee Carryesque champs that Dash-Spin will simply be an agonizing experience

Great. Another champion with built-in sustain. Exactly what we needed.

I dont care about his kit, the bastard stole Soul Edge from Nightmare and it can manifest in him.

the weapon even have an eye like Soul Edge

Such ripped off but badass theme for a hero.

People will want to change his R into a Vector Cast spell instead of it being a Double Cast spell.

"New champion kit" This is old abilities on a new guy Q- Trynda Spin W- Sion knockup E- Talon E just without that pesky animation R- Reksai R, Zed R, take your pick idc Very unoriginal and unimpressive

Looks good but Id like to have thunderlords on the assassin-guy and cotc on the fighter-guy... hmm

this over loaded piece of trash.. well, nerfed to no where till they can figure out how to fix this thing. call his room mate Aatrox and make sure there is room in the nerf hut.

mark my words.

Grokmir6/27/2017, 9:47:59 PM1 votes

He's going be one of the most overbearing champs in the game if he is at all good.

Being able to go through walls indefinitely on top of his movement speed buffs and having a point and click execute for squishes and tanks alike are the only problems I see. His opponents can never escape from him if they don't have some sort of cc/dash, even then he can likely catch up to them since walls are nothing to him.

Being able to speed up while going through walls is just ridiculous, if anything he should be at regular speed or worst case, slowed when trying to move through walls. Lastly his ult needs some sort of counter play, either make it a skill shot (something like ww ult) or remove the untargetablity so opponents can try to cc him and get away.

In conclusion hes going to be super frustrating to play against in any situation, since he can follow you forever to kill you and he can easily escape and heal when hes low.
