Why is Ezrael so bad as ADC

His laning is mediocre, needs mana items for midgame like Sheen and Muramana (or he goes oom and dies), has crappy lategame dmg unless he builds like regular ADC, but there is no reason to pick him instead of Lucian, if you aren't going for Triforce or Blue build. AP Ezrael is way better as burst caster, but his Q is not magic dmg and can't deal with armor. Corki looks like better poke ADC with midgame powerspike with almost equal safety - you can't even waveclear with Ezrael reliably, if you are sieged - you can ult 1 time and the next minion wave is lost tower. I think that he needs some changes - almost every new champion has a dash and you can't kite them at all - they step aside or dash away and you have 0 DPS after that because you have no AS and crit items.

That was never true as far as competitive play. She was not taken seriously as a burst mage beyond low-ELO. Her cooldowns were too unforgiving for her to be viable despite her ridiculous burst. She also needed to be ahead to be of any use because otherwise, you just jump in and die without reset. Even though her average KDA was insane, her winrate was in the gutter played as AP.

She actually was. There were 3 Diamond AP tristana's and 1 Master. One of them was named like Master Jump or something, he posts here a lot.

There are always a few but that doesn't suddenly make it a serious pick. AP Tristana was never played in a competitive match. She was like a burstier much less safe LB.

Ezreal has the best escape self peel for any ADC only slightly comparable by Tristana. His mixed damage is also hard to build against. He's not seriously strong right now but those reasons are what makes Ezreal typically strong.

He really is terrible imo. Too much of his damage is unreliable and easily mitigated by minions or tanks. This also makes taking advantage of openings or leads a bit difficult. They can simply stand behind minions and you won't be able to pressure that hard.

Mid-game is his best phase but it's still not so strong to make-up for his mediocre laning and late game. I've tried every build on him and it just doesn't seem worth it.

And he still has a higher pick than Lucian in LCS. Also has higher pick/winrate than Lucian as well, despite your "detrimental facts about Ezreal". You're probably just bad.

I hope you do realize that literally every Ezreal pick was due to AP Ezreal being a thing. Even when he was picked as ADC, it was to either deny AP Ezreal from the opponents or because the comp. their opponents drafted was created to counter AP Ezreal. He has never been picked for his own strength as an ADC in LCS this year. As soon as AP Ezreal went back to a state of unviability in competitive, AD Ezreal was never used again.

The moment I stopped using trinity force and switched to manamune+iceborn I have went off every game, yes theres alot of lost but it doesnt mean I wasnt playing well during those games. Ezreal does pretty well during laning phase if you can heal bot his Q and his W, and know when to go in for E and his ult is a winner if you hit them without minion... Plus Ez is one of the safest ADC in the game if not the safest with Iceborn because he becomes tankier and that slow+CD on E makes him impossible to pin down, max blue build does almost the same amount of damage as a normal ADC build but Ezreal poke even harder and more often.

You need to build IE And shiv on him so he's like a real adc, the normal ez build sucks since it just buffs his q, he should be built like a normal adc with his q and stuff being more burst

I've actually tried that too and it is definitely much more damage late game if you can freely auto. The problem I have with that is his short range and mediocre/conditional steroids. If you build him like a normal ADC, it just makes one wonder why you play him at all over something like Tristana or Lucian. The other issue is he has a much weaker mid-game compared to TF Muramana builds but without a massive pay-off late game like for Vayne.
