Smurfing

Literally, so many posts here are complaining about smurfs. I hope they realize there are no way to stop people from smurfing. Regular players can't do anything about it and I doubt Riot would do something about it either. If you get one and you get completely crushed, big deal it's a game, try again. And what's more, YOU LEARN FROM IT. Only the worst of the worst perfectly define Einstein's definition of insanity: doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results. Your best teacher is not your best teacher, they are your best helpers; your mistakes are your best teacher. LEARN FROM DEFEAT AND LEARN FROM YOUR MISTAKES PEOPLE, SIMPLE. Do that and you won't get crushed!

Because a level 2 player can learn from being decimated the second the 2 champions can be seen on the same screen.

Some people gasp play video games for fun! We don't want to be the Russian kid being sat down in front of a Chess Grandmaster and told to go at it day after day. We just want to play a nice game with people around our skill level so we can actually play a fair match and not have one side win 152-4.

What are you going to learn going into the ring with Mike Tyson on your first day of boxing? That being punched is bad. Hell, you might forget some shit if he bops you on the head enough.

What you say, makes sense to you, but not everyone else. I don't see how i can learn in solo/duo queue by getting mauled to death by 5 3rd graders with diamond accounts on their smurfs that somehow all queued together.

I've only played 10 bot games my entire LoL career . . . I kinda learnt how to play by being queud with plat players back in season 1 that kinda just . . . well my average score for the first two months was 0/15/2. Though, when I finally started queuing by myself . . . it was like . . . easy mode.

So what you're saying is that people shouldn't be salty about having to endure smurfs, we should be honored to have the learning opportunity of losing horribly? Your level of--calling it logic would be an insult to trolls--thought sounds more like an attempt to justify the smurfs. [slayer-jinx-unamused]

You're only correct about two things, and that's the ability to learn (albeit at a crippled level) and the fact it can't be fended off (without limiting accounts by ip or computer ID).

League is not entirely able to be grasped on one's own and one's observation alone. Take an inexperienced portion of the playerbase and they'll only pick up on some visual queues and see what a champion can do. The players won't pick up the two most important factors of what they're seeing a majority of the time. These two things are WHY a player does what they do with a champion and the mathematical information being processed with every item, level, powerspike and current lane/game condition.

League's nooks and crannies that developed into a meta were a contribution of the playerbase compiling information alongside what the company itself has offered to them. You need to be taught some things outside of personal observation as new avenues of detail are only found with other perspectives.
